Challenges

Going back to work this week has had its ups and downs.  As usual there is plenty of work to get done.  I miss being with Ava everyday.  She had to get shots yesterday and last night she was so pitiful.  She just cried and cried.  Thank God for the support of my Mom and husband.  I am rather tired.  Not getting a lot of sleep this week either.  I have to remember that things will work out and Ava and I will get into this routine.  Maybe soon she will start sleeping longer.

Coupons!

I went to CVS late yesterday afternoon to get a few things they had on sale.  When you go on Saturday evening, you get this week's and next week's sale prices.  Between buying items on sale and using coupons, I saved $60!  I now also have $7 in extra bucks to use the next time I go.  I love saving money!

Back to Work

Today wasn't as bad as I expected.  I did cry most of the way from daycare to work.  Work kept me busy and I had her pictures with me to look at.  I did miss her terribly! I think next week will be worse since I will be working all week.  It was so nice to see her little face after work.  When I got home all I wanted to do was hold her.  My husband was especially great today because when I got home the house was nice and clean.  No housework tomorrow!  I'm looking forward to getting as much family time in as I can over the weekend.

Last Day of Maternity Leave

I can't believe that the weeks have gone by so fast.  Tomorrow, I will be back at work and Ava will have her first day at daycare. I thought it would be better to be completely overwhelmed on a Friday versus a Monday.  At least I will have the weekend to recover.  There are many things that I did not get accomplished during my time at home.  I wanted to get everything straightened up, my home in order.  Oh well, some things did get done, and the most important thing is that I have been able to bond and love my little girl.   I still have a lot to do today.  Most important is making sure I don't forget anything that Ava may need tomorrow.  I need to pack my work bag.  Waiting to get things in order in the morning is no longer an option.  Wish me luck!
